It turned out cute, but the yarn was so bulky and heavy to handle.  The good side, though, is that it knits up quickly.  I used Lion Brand WoolEase Thick and Quick, which is cozy and cuddly for a winter knit set. It's Paton's Nuance, a mohair blend.  I'm using plastic Lion Brand scarf knitting needles #15 which is getting on my nerves really bad because the yarn won't slide very easily.  That can be a good thing for a beginner knitter, but I think I'll go buy some aluminum needles today to make the knitting go a little faster. This is a fun, fast project.
